About The Bull Dance
The Bull Dance Invitational was founded in 2021 as a good excuse to host a local tournament for a group of friends and celebrate shared love for the game and appreciation for late-90’s comedy masterpieces.
That first year saw a lot of enthusiasm and fostered the idea to grow the tournament into an annual event to benefit our local community. In 2022, we decided to grow the event both in size and scope by making it a fundraiser for a local charity that was meaningful for both of us. With the help of our amazing local sponsors, we were able to donate 100% of our proceeds to the Portland-based Brian Grant Foundation, a charity focused on helping support those with Parkinson’s in our local community. We are committed to continuing this tradition and growing our “good time for a good cause” in the years to come.
Meet the Team
-
Phillip Kinsley
Tournament Co-Director
Phillip’s golf journey started with a set of clubs handed down from his brother and ramped up when golf became his friends' go-to activity during COVID. Phillip is all about fun on the course, from his wild polos to the co-creation of the Bull Dance. Knowing someone with Parkinson's, he is very passionate about having a charitable aspect of the event, particularly one supporting the Brian Grant Foundation with its local ties.

Joseph Lockhart
Tournament Co-Director
Joseph learned how to golf at a young age from his dad and got fully hooked playing the local Eugene courses with his brother. When he's not on the course, he's probably in some nearby trees hunting for Sasquatch or a misplaced teeshot. Joseph grew up with a family member who suffered from Parkinson's disease and likes to think they'd be proud to see him leveraging his favorite pastime to support a cause significant to his family.
